Tudo que o Brant Bjork faz é legal e esse projeto dele é um dos meus preferidos. Tudo é bem simples e direto e acho que ele consegue alcançar uma harmonia entre a voz dele e os timbres de guitarra que é difícil achar por aí. Che lembra o trabalho dele com os Bros e os Operators e tem uma levada bem Queens Of The Stone Age, especialmente em "The Knife". Muito bom mesmo esse aqui, legal pra ouvir a qualquer hora. Everything that Brant Bjork does is cool. Che is one of my favorite Brant's projects. The rhythms and the guitars are something very special here and, like all of his work, the way this man sings is so cool. Brant did, as usual, a nice shot with this one. Kyuss - [1994] Welcome To Sky Valley

Esse é o clássico dos clássicos do Stoner Rock. Todo mundo esperava por esse disco antes de ele sair e todo mundo copiou depois. Referência de 11 em 10 bandas do tal Stoner Rock. Todas as faixas são perfeitas e, podem jogar as pedras, mas pra mim o verdadeiro baixista do Kyuss é o Scott Reeder e não o Nick Olivieri. Fácil fácil um dos meus 10 discos preferidos de todos os tempos. Ou não! Top 3: "Supa Scoop and Mighty Scoop", "100°" e "Conan Troutman". Pra quem gosta de: Queens Of The Stone Age, Nebula, Beaver, Monster Magnet e Masters Of Reality.

This is the classic of all classics! Stoner Rock never was the same after this record was released in 1994. Maybe one of the most copied albums of all time. Every single track is perfect. And I know that much of the fans think that Nick Olivieri is the greatest bassist that ever played for Kyuss, but for me, Scott Reeder is the real one. Anyway, this album is one of my all time favorite. Listen VERY VERY VERY LOUD! Top 3: "Supa Scoop and Mighty Scoop", "100°" and "Conan Troutman". For those who likes: Queens Of The Stone Age, Nebula, Beaver, Monster Magnet and Masters Of Reality.

Fu Manchu - [1997] The Action Is Go

Apesar de considerarem o Fu Manchu como uma das principais bandas do Stoner Rock, eu acho que eles estão abaixo do nível de qualidade do Kyuss, do Monster Magnet, do Masters Of Reality e até do Nebula. Mas isso não quer dizer que eles sejam ruins, muito pelo contrário. A única coisa é que as vezes dá a impressão de que todas as linhas vocais do Scott Hill são iguais. Enfim, é uma boa banda e uma boa pedida, principalmente para ouvir jogando video-game, hehehehe. Top 3: "Evil Eye", "The Action Is Go" e "Saturn III". Pra quem gosta de: Nebula, Kyuss, Dozer, Beaver e Mondo Generator.

I know that most of the people consider Fu Manchu as one of the best stoner rock bands, but I think that they aren't in the same level that Kyuss, Magnet, MOR and even Nebula. Not that I think that they suck, no. I think they're great, but sometimes it seems that Scott Hill is singing the same vocal lines in every song. But it's a good listen, anyway. Very cool to listen playing video-game. Top 3: "Evil Eye", "The Action Is Go" and "Saturn III". For Those Who Likes: Nebula, Kyuss, Dozer, Beaver and Mondo Generator.
