Tava devendo a um tempo, mas tá ai: novo disco do Black Drawing Chalks. Na primeira audição eu num fiquei muito fã não. Achei o primeiro melhor. Mas de uns tempos pra cá, quanto mais eu ouço, mais eu gosto. Já dá pra considerar um empate técnico. O som tá bem Hellacopters em alguns momentos, o que é uma ótima coisa. Vida longa aos Chalks e que eles se mantenham fazendo um sonzão desse por muito tempo. É nóis! Top 3: "The Legend", "Girl I've Come To Lay You Down" e "I'm A Beast, I'm A Gun". Pra quem gosta de: MQN, AMP, Flaming Moe, Hellacopters e Datsuns.

Finally, I'm putting this one here. New record by Black Drawing Chalks, the hottest band in Brazil at this very moment. I love them, very crunchy and fast. Gioânia é atualmente a cidade que faz as melhores bandas do país: MQN, Mechanics, The Envy Hearts, Goldfish Memories e o Black Drawing Chalks aqui. Todas as elas ou com um pé no grunge, ou com um pé no stoner. Os Chalks parecem ser os novatinhos da cena, mas o som é tão bom quanto o das outras. "Holiday" me lembra Soundgarden e vale o disco. Quase todas as outras tem alguma coisa de Fu Manchu ou Kyuss ou Monster Magnet. Ainda não os vi ao vivo, mas aparecendo por aqui em BH, eu tô lá na frente pra assistir. Alias, por que não tem nenhum festival de Stoner no país???? Se eu não voltar... feliz natal para todos! Top 3: "Rising Sun In The Purple Sky Morning" , "Holiday" e "High And Smashed". Nowadays, Goiania is the real Rock City in Brazil: MQN, Mechanics, The Envy Hearts, Goldfish Memories and Black Drawing Chalks are all from there. All of them have something grunge or stoner or even both on their sound. Chalks are one of my favorites in the new scene. "Holiday" reminds me something that Soundgarden did in their late years. All the tracks have something similar with Fu Manchu or Kyuss or Monster Magnet. It's a very enjoyable listening any time. Top 3: "Rising Sun In The Purple Sky Morning" , "Holiday" and "High And Smashed". For Those Who Likes: MQN, Soundgarden, Flaming Moe, Monster Magnet and Queens Of The Stone Age.
