Seattle Sound #3: Screaming Trees é a banda mais injustiçada da história, ou coisa do tipo. Esse é o único lançamento dos gordinhos pela Sub-Pop, pouco antes deles assinarem com a Epic. Não tão bom quanto o material deles nos 90, mas ainda assim muito legal. Top Top: "Change Has Come". Para aqueles que curtem: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Dinossaur Jr., Soundgarden, Kyuss.

Seattle Sound #3: Screaming Trees is the most underrated band ever! Or somegthing like that. This release is the only one for Sub-Pop. It was before they signed with Epic. Not as good as they material in 90's, but very cool one. Top Top: "Change Has Come". For those who likes: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Dinossaur Jr., Soundgarden, Kyuss.

Twilight Singers - [2003] Blackberry Belle

Greg Dulli vem se provando um cara muito talentoso através dos anos. Seja com o Afghan Whigs, com o Twilight Singers ou com o Gutter Twins, o cara sempre mostra bom serviço. Mais ou menos o que acontece com o Mark Lanegan (que aparece aqui na faixa "Number Nine"), o John Garcia e o Chris Goss. Esse é o único do Twilight que já ouvi inteiro e, apesar de num ser tão diferente assim dos Whigs, é um belo de um disco. Bom pra qualquer hora. Top 3: "Teenage Wristband" , "The Killer", "Number Nine". Pra quem gosta de: Afghan Whigs, Mark Lanegan, Gutter Twins, Eleven e Brad.

Greg Dulli has been proved that he is a very talented guy over the years. With all of his bands (Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers, Gutter Twins), he's been shown a very good work. This one, Blackberry Belle, is the only one of Twilight that I've hearded entirely and even sounding like a Afghan Whigs record, it's still a very good work. This is a good listen for any hour of the day. Top 3: "Teenage Wristband" , "The Killer" , "Number Nine". For those who likes: Afghan Whigs, Mark Lanegan, Gutter Twins, Eleven and Brad.

Mark Lanegan - [2004] Bubblegum

Mark Lanegan contou com uma enxurrada de amigos (Chris Goss, Josh Homme, Nick Olivieri, PJ Harvey, Izzy Stradlin, etc.) pra gravar este que é seu ultimo disco solo. Desde então, ele esteve mais envolvido em parcerias (Queens Of The Stone Age, Isobel Campbell, Gutter Twins, etc...). Mais sujo e experimental que os antecessores, este disco é carregado de boas músicas, com exceção de "Can't Come Down" que é chatinha, chatinha. Um dos melhores de sua carreira. Top 3: "One Hundred Days" , "Like Little Willie John" , "Morning Glory Wine". Pra quem gosta de: Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, Queens Of The Stone Age e The Doors.

Mark Lanegan has a little help of his friends (Alain Johannes, Chris Goss, Josh Homme, Nick Olivieri, PJ Harvey, Izzy Stradlin, etc.) to record his last solo album. Nowadays, he's been more busy with other projects (Queens Of The Stone Age, Isobel Campbell, Gutter Twins, etc...). More dirty and experimental than his predecessors, this record is full of good blues-based songs, with an exception of "Can't Come Down", wich is a little annoying. But this is easily one of his best records. Top 3: "One Hundred Days" , "Like Little Willie John" , "Morning Glory Wine". For those who likes: Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, Queens Of The Stone Age and The Doors.

Screaming Trees - [1989] Buzz Factory

O Screaming Trees nesta época contava com Mark Lanegan (vocais), os irmãos Gary Lee e Van Cooner (guitarra e baixo respectivamente) e Mark Pickerel (bateria). Essa banda de Seattle acabou ficando na sombra das quatro grandes (PJ, AIC, SG e N) mas mesmo assim conseguiu emplacar um sucesso aqui, outro ali. Mas que eles eram dugaray, ahhh, isso eles eram. Descontando o EP Change Has Come que foi lançado no ano seguinte pela Sub Pop, Buzz Factory é o ultimo disco da banda lançado por uma gravado pequena. O que, dependendo do gosto, pode ser bom ou ruim. Aqui, as musicas são muito boas e a banda carregava (e carregava, e carregava ...) muito do som garageiro cheio de wah wah pra lá, wah wah pra cá, deixando o som beeeem sujo. Produzido por Jack Endino, produtor de 11 entre 10 bandas de Seattle na época, esse disco é um ensaio do que seria o rock americano no começo dos anos 90. Curiosidade: tem uma intervençãozinha no final de "Yard Trip #7" ("The question will be what kind of trees you are; the answer will be 'Screaming Trees'"). Top 3: "Black Sun Morning", "Subtle Poison" e "End Of The Universe". Pra quem gosta de: Soundgarden do Ultramega Ok, Nirvana do Bleach, Melvins, Mudhoney e Psicodelia.
