Fu Manchu - [2006] Hung Out To Dry EP

No começo eu num vi muita graça no Fu Manchu, mas com o tempo eu fui gostando mais e mais. Eles têm pegada e muita! O Scott Hill num é dos melhores vocais do mundo, mas mesmo assim, com o tempo, você começa a gostar da voz dele. Combina com o som perfeitamente. E analisando por um outro lado, é uma das poucas vozes do tal do stoner rock que num é rasgada ou imitação de John Garcia/Phil Anselmo/Ozzy/Chris Cornell. É bem única. E que guitarrista é esse Bob Balch hein?! Pra quem gosta de: Nebula, Demon Cleaner, Suplecs, The Company Band e Dozer.

Fu Manchu - [2004] Start The Machine

Eu semprei falei mal do Fu Manchu, sempre achei uma banda superestimada no genero (porém, de importância subestimada no rock em geral). Mas tenho que dar o braço a torcer. Esse Start The Machine é muito bom! Direto, sem firula, parece feito pra se ouvir no carro (capa sugestiva). Me curvo em humildade diante do poderoso Fu Manchu. Top 3: "Written In Stone", "I'm Getting Away" e "It's All The Same". Pra quem gosta de: Nebula, Demon Cleaner, Waxy, Alabama Thunderpussy e Solarized.

Fu Manchu never sound that good to me and I always thought that they're too overrated in their genre (but too underrated in rock in general). But now I'm start to think a little different. Start the Machine is so good! Very rocker and straight to the point, it's just great to listen in your car, drivin fast to somewhere. I've had recognize the power of the mighty Fu Manchu now. Top 3: "Written In Stone", "I'm Getting Away" and "It's All The Same". For those who likes: Nebula, Demon Cleaner, Waxy, Alabama Thunderpussy and Solarized.

Fu Manchu - [1997] The Action Is Go

Apesar de considerarem o Fu Manchu como uma das principais bandas do Stoner Rock, eu acho que eles estão abaixo do nível de qualidade do Kyuss, do Monster Magnet, do Masters Of Reality e até do Nebula. Mas isso não quer dizer que eles sejam ruins, muito pelo contrário. A única coisa é que as vezes dá a impressão de que todas as linhas vocais do Scott Hill são iguais. Enfim, é uma boa banda e uma boa pedida, principalmente para ouvir jogando video-game, hehehehe. Top 3: "Evil Eye", "The Action Is Go" e "Saturn III". Pra quem gosta de: Nebula, Kyuss, Dozer, Beaver e Mondo Generator.

I know that most of the people consider Fu Manchu as one of the best stoner rock bands, but I think that they aren't in the same level that Kyuss, Magnet, MOR and even Nebula. Not that I think that they suck, no. I think they're great, but sometimes it seems that Scott Hill is singing the same vocal lines in every song. But it's a good listen, anyway. Very cool to listen playing video-game. Top 3: "Evil Eye", "The Action Is Go" and "Saturn III". For Those Who Likes: Nebula, Kyuss, Dozer, Beaver and Mondo Generator.
