Black Label Society - [1999] Sonic Brew

Eu sei que o Zakk Wylde é um excelente guitarrista e um vocalista razoável, mas eu simplesmente não consigo achar esse Black Label Society essa coisa maravilhosa que todos dizem ser. Pra mim, é uma tentativa um pouco frustrada de ser um Alice In Chains mais pesado ou um Pantera mais melódico. Não que seja ruim, longe disso, o disco tem bons momentos e o "Hangover Music" é um disco aonde eu acho que a banda se achou, realmente muito bom. Mas pra falar a verdade, eu acho que a banda é bem superestimada. As vezes (lá vem as pedras) eu tenho a impressão que todo solo que o Zakk Wylde faz é igual. Estranho. Mas é um bom disco. Top 3: "Bored To Tears", "Beneath The Tree" e "Low Down". Pra quem gosta de: Pantera, Alice In Chains, Black Stone Cherry, Damageplan e Corrosion Of Conformity.

I know that Zakk Wylde is a very talented guitar player and a good singer, but for me, Black Label Society is not that as good as everybody say it is. To me, they sound like an frustrated attempt of sounding like Alice In Chains with a heavier aproach or a more melodic Pantera. And It isn't a bad thing, the record has good moments, and I really enjoy "Hangover Music". But, to be honest, I think that BLS is an overrated band. But is a good record anyway. Top 3: "Bored To Tears", "Beneath The Tree" and "Low Down". For those who likes: Pantera, Alice In Chains, Black Stone Cherry, Damageplan and Corrosion Of Conformity.
